Question 1

Which model should I use to animate a portrait?

Accepted Answer

Kling 3.0, Kling O3, Wan 2.6 or Seedance models work well with people. Keep the motion subtle. Sora 2 won't accept input images that contain faces.

Question 2

What is first-and-last-frame mode?

Accepted Answer

You upload a starting image and an ending image, and the model generates the movement between them. Kling O1, Kling O3, Veo 3.1 and Wan 2.7 support it.

Question 3

Can my animated photo have sound?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on models with native audio, such as Sora 2, Veo 3.1, Wan 2.5, Wan 2.6, Kling O3, Seedance 2.x, MiniMax H3 and Grok Imagine Video 1.5.

Question 4

Why does my video look stretched or cropped?

Accepted Answer

The image shape probably doesn't match the output aspect ratio. Use a landscape image for 16:9 and a portrait image for 9:16, or expand the picture first with AI Uncrop.

Question 5

Can I animate images I made on Cinel?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Send any result from Text to Image, Image to Image or the AI Image Editor straight to Image to Video.

Question 6

Is image to video free?

Accepted Answer

Signed-in users get one free 2-second 480p Seedance 1.0 Turbo clip per day using daily credits. Other models use paid credits, shown before you generate.
