Question 1

Is Google Nano Banana 2 / Nano Banana 2.1 free?

Accepted Answer

On Cinel, no—it is not free unlimited. Signed-in non-members can use a daily-credit trial at 8 credits per image; members use 6 credits for the daily trial. After trial usage, each Nano Banana 2.1 image costs 6 credits at 1K, 2K, or 4K. Gemini App "free" narratives do not apply to Cinel pricing.

Question 2

Is Nano Banana 2.1 better than Nano Banana 1 / Nano Banana 2?

Accepted Answer

Google positions 2.1 as the upgraded high-efficiency route with stronger visual design, mask-based editing, and subject consistency versus earlier Nano Banana generations. On Cinel, 2.1 and 2 both cost 6 credits, but 2.1 is not member-only while Nano Banana 2 is. We do not publish a Cinel-exclusive "beats everything" scorecard.

Question 3

Is Nano Banana 2.1 better than ChatGPT / GPT Image?

Accepted Answer

They are different stacks. Nano Banana 2.1 is Google; GPT Image / ChatGPT Images is OpenAI. On Cinel, choose Nano Banana 2.1 for Google’s consistency / mask-edit / 4K-flat-6 route, or open GPT Image 2.5 for the OpenAI route. Avoid blanket "better than ChatGPT" claims without your own tests.

Question 4

Is Nano Banana Pro different from Nano Banana 2 / 2.1?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Pro is a separate, higher Google tier—not the same model as 2 or 2.1. On Cinel, use Nano Banana Pro for that route and keep pricing ids separate.

Question 5

How many credits does one Nano Banana 2.1 image cost?

Accepted Answer

6 credits for 1K, 2K, or 4K—same flat price. Daily trial: 8 credits for non-members and 6 credits for members. Extra references or multiple outputs can raise the estimate shown before Generate.

Question 6

Does it support reference images?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Cinel enables native reference image support for this model. Upload refs when you need subject or product consistency. Cinel does not publish a max reference count on this brief—do not claim "up to 14" for the Cinel UI even if Google docs mention 14.

Question 7

Which resolutions does Cinel offer?

Accepted Answer

1K, 2K, and 4K, default 4K. All three cost 6 credits.

Question 8

How do I start generating with Nano Banana 2.1?

Accepted Answer

Open cinel.ai/nano-banana-2.1, select Nano Banana 2.1 in the model picker, write a prompt, optionally attach reference images, choose resolution, and press Generate. Credits are shown before you spend. Sign in to use the daily trial or membership credits.

Question 9

What’s the difference between Nano Banana 2.1 on Cinel and Nano Banana 2?

Accepted Answer

Same flat 6-credit ladder, but 2.1 is open to silver daily trial users rather than member-only, and carries Google’s newer 2.1 capabilities. Prefer 2.1 for new work unless you already rely on a Nano Banana 2 workflow.

Question 10

What is the API id for Nano Banana 2.1?

Accepted Answer

Google’s model id is gemini-nano-banana-2.1. On Cinel the public path is /nano-banana-2.1 and the pricing id is nano-banana-2-1.

Question 11

Can I use outputs commercially?

Accepted Answer

Subject to Google’s terms, third-party rights, and Cinel Terms, generated outputs may be used for lawful purposes. Review before advertising, resale, or client delivery—especially when prompts include brands, people, or legal copy.

Question 12

Are images watermarked?

Accepted Answer

Cinel does not add a visible watermark to outputs. Some upstream model providers may embed invisible cryptographic provenance signatures, such as SynthID on Google surfaces.
